Message When I was in the market for a Z, I looked at all years. I ended up buying a 90 because the one I found was in great condition and the other years had no significant advantages over each other (so why spend more on a newer car if I can find an older one in the same condition for less). If I had found a 96 in the same condition as my 90 for a comprable price, I probably would've bought it. The lack of VVT doesn't phase me much, I was just stating the facts, and the facts are that it doesn't have it. I've never put my car on a dyno, and, to be honest, I've never even seen a Z on a dyno, so as for "first hand experience," I have none. As for power, all the research I did into the loss of VVT in 96 has led to the same result, 20 less hp - and if I hadn't posted it, someone else would've. So I answered his question to the best of my knowledge. I suppose now I'll just look everywhere for dyno charts of stock Zs from 90 to 96 and base my belief off those rather than what every FAQ section and every Z enthusiast site says...
